The route to the exhibition complex is well signposted on the motorway ring road which runs around the cathedral city of Cologne. A modern traffic management system will guide you to the Trade Fair car parks. From there you can proceed on foot, or on board a free shuttle bus which will take you directly to the entrance. The address: Koelnmesse, Messeplatz 1, 50679 Köln
Koelnmesse (Cologne Trade Fair Station) and the city’s Main Station are separated only by the Rhine. If you are interested in a 20 minute walk you can cross the Hohenzollern Bridge on foot and then simply follow the signs to the Cologne Trade Fair complex.
Alternatively you can make the short trip by rail. All metro light rail services (S-Bahn) departing from Platform 10 in Cologne’s main railway station serve the stop Trade Fair/Cologne Deutz (Messe/Deutz). This journey takes approximately 2 minutes.
The Cologne exhibition complex is well served from Cologne/Bonn Airport. From the airport you can avail of a rail connection to travel to the Fair. The S13, travelling in the direction of Horrem, will transport you to the Trade Fair/Cologne-Deutz (Messe/Deutz) station in approximately 12 minutes. The Exhibition Centre is now within a short walking distance and the route is clearly indicated.
By Public Transport:
The Messe/Deutz train station can be reached using the metro light rail lines S6, S11, S12 and S13 or the tram services (Straßenbahn) lines 1 or 9. Alternative: use the subway (U-Bahn) lines 3 or 4 to the Cologne Trade Fair stop “Koelnmesse” (East entrance).
Your admission ticket is also your travel ticket!
For the duration of the “aquanale” all admission tickets and exhibitor passes bearing the symbol of the Rhine-Sieg Transport Authority (VRS) also act as free travel passes for the holder and are valid for use on public transport (buses, trams, subways and trains) bringing you to and from the Cologne Trade Fair complex.
